About:  The fan community will assemble and print a book to be presented to Don on the occasion of his 70th birthday. The book will be a collection of fan letters, photos and artwork that express good wishes to Don and messages about how his music and activism has impacted us.

Directions:  Please follow these directions. Failure to do so could result in your letter not being included in the final product.  There are 3 options for participating.  You can complete any or all.

Option 1:  Create a page. You can create 1 8.5 x 11 page and put anything you want on it (with a few exceptions). You can write a letter, you can assemble some photographs, you can make it look like a scrapbook page, you can scan a piece of art. Make the page look exactly as you want it to look. You can create this in Word, Adobe, PowerPoint or any other program that will let you create a page. Try to fill the entire page (if your letter is short, consider enlarging the font or including a photo or decorative element).  Please do not include original song lyrics or poetry about anything other than Don. You can't include interactive elements like videos or audio or animated gifs. Please make sure photos are appropriate and do not feature nudity. It would be great if somewhere on your page, you mentioned your name and where you are from.

Option 2:  Photo option.  Take 1 photo of you or a group holding a sign with a short message to Don. Make sure that the message is legible. Again, please no nudity :) .  

Option 3: Send us a typed message for Don. We'll compile all of these on pages that we create. 

SEND YOUR FINISHED PRODUCT or MESSAGE TO birthdaybook70@gmail.com.  Please do not send it to our regular email address. We want to keep everything in one place.

DEADLINE: Book will be worked on weekend of July 15th-16th. If I have your entry then, it will be included.

Depending on how long the book ends up being, there may be an opportunity for you to contribute to the printing costs. We'll let you know.
