The Wasted Times
The Wasted Times was our paper newsletter that preceded the creation of the online community. We began publishing it as a way to keep fans connected after the HFO tour was indefinately postponed due to Glenn's illness. Keep in mind, that when we made it we were in our 20s and we thought we were funny and clever. We sometimes made some irreverent comments and played off of inside jokes made in chatrooms and message boards. Some of this makes us cringe. Please note as well that at the time, we gently mentioned Glenn's stomach problems because he had made some jokes about it as well. In hindsight...well...none of us knew how this would all play out. We've left these as is as relics of the time. Please don't judge us too harshly. As the newsletter evolved it became less about jokes and more about reporting what was going on with the band. There's news in them and tons and tons of reviews. The newsletter was originally made by literally pasting photos and text to paper and running it on a copy machine. Later on, desktop publishing software made the job easier. Enjoy! Click on the issue to read what is inside.
